I review affiliate software for a living, and I set it up for people who'd rather not do it themselves. If you've read a few listings on this site, you already know why that service exists: this category is a one-way door, and most of the expensive mistakes happen in the first week, when you pick the commission structure, the cookie window and the payout rules you'll be living with for years.
I've been setting these systems up since 2003. I've run close to 100 affiliates on a self-hosted Post Affiliate Pro install, configured EzyGold from scratch to run a two-tier program, sold about $250,000 through JVZoo, and run programs on Lemon Squeezy and Systeme.io for my own software. The reviews on this site are the research. This page is the part where I do it for you.
The three things I do
1. Self-hosted install and configuration — $497
For iDevAffiliate, Post Affiliate Pro, EzyGold, AffiliateWP and the other scripts and plugins in the self-hosted category.
You bought the licence because you want to own your data. Fair. The catch is that now you're the IT department. I install the software on your server or WordPress site, connect it to your checkout, set up the commission structure and tracking, test a sale end to end, and hand you a working program with a one-page runbook for the things you'll need to touch again (approving affiliates, running payouts, backups).
2. Affiliate program setup on a SaaS tool — $997
For FirstPromoter, Rewardful, Tolt, Tapfiliate, Refersion and the rest of the standalone tools, plus built-in features like ThriveCart and Kajabi.
This one is less about the software and more about the decisions. Commission rate and duration, cookie window, payout schedule and minimums, refund handling, program terms that actually protect you, fraud rules, and an affiliate onboarding page that makes people want to promote you. Then the plumbing: the tracking script or webhook on your checkout, a test purchase, a test payout. You get a program that's ready for its first affiliate, not just an account with the defaults switched on.
If you haven't picked a tool yet, picking it is part of the job. I'll tell you which one fits your stack and volume, and I'll tell you if the answer is a $0 tool. The directory exists so I don't have to guess.
3. Migration from one tool to another — from $1,997
The premium job, because it's the one where things break. In the 1850s, Australian colonies laid railways in three different gauges, and for the next century every load of freight crossing a border had to be lifted off one train and onto another. That's a migration: everything you built assumes the old track, and the affiliates are the freight.
What I handle: exporting whatever the old tool lets out (and the workarounds for what it doesn't), rebuilding the commission structure on the new tool, mapping affiliates across, a cutover plan so pending commissions get paid and nobody's link dies unannounced, the email sequence that moves your affiliates to their new links, and a month of double-running to catch what slipped. The goal is the one metric that matters: how many of your active affiliates are still active 60 days later.
Price depends on which tool you're leaving. Leaving Rewardful with its full export is a different job than leaving ClickFunnels, where the affiliate export is undocumented. The lock-in score on each listing is a fair preview of the quote. The obvious question
Yes, some links on this site are affiliate links, and yes, I might earn a commission on the tool I recommend to you. Here's why that doesn't bend the advice: a setup client who outgrows the wrong tool in six months is a migration client who tells people I picked it. The recommendation has to survive longer than the commission. And when the right answer is a tool that pays me nothing, like a self-hosted script you buy once, that's the answer you get, at the same price as the job above.
